Description

Bottled in 1997 by hand at the Macallan distillery, the Gran Reserva's are a wonderful insight into the true richness of heavily sherried whisky. Viewed by many as the renaissance range that pushed Macallan to become the forefront of Scotch whisky, the Gran Reservas from 1979-1982 have become increasingly rare in modern times as these four are a ‘must-have’ for any serious Macallan collector.

The richness of the Macallan malt is clearly evident with such spirit power shining through. The wood hasn't slowed this malt down at all.

Its signature is fruit cakes and a hint of salted caramels with a devilishly long finish.
