Description

This Macallan Fine and Rare is from the golden days in The Macallan's story. The Fine and Rare series was designed to represent the very best whisky that Macallan had to offer, dating back as far as 1926.

Think of all of the whisky lovers who have walked past this Sherry hogshead at the Macallan distillery during the 43 years it rested at Easter Elchies. Macallan estimates this is roughly 50,000 people per year. Over 2 million people may have glanced at this cask on a distillery tour and thought longingly about the liquid that this cask would produce. Only the winner of this auction will have the opportunity to find out for themselves.

Distilled in 1959 and bottled 43 years later in 2002, from single sherry hogshead #360.
