Description

This is a "Secret" bottling of a distillery in Sutherland by the Thompson Brothers. It is widely accepted that this whisky came from the Clynelish distillery because of the not so subtle artwork on the label. There are 3 versions of the "Sutherland 2000 19 Year Old" Thompson bottling, one for the UK, one for the Netherlands and one for Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong version is the most rare of the trio and it is very unlikely that we will see another one of these bottles at auction ever again due to the limited number of bottles filled (204) and the fact that these Thompson bottles were made for drinking and went under the radar of many whisky collectors.
