Description

Distilled on the 10th of May 1973, this Bowmore was selected by hand from the last six remaining Bourbon 1973 Hogsheads (Cask No. 3883-3888) maturing in the famous No.1 Vaults. This 43-year year old limited edition bottling has unlocked the exotic fruit tastes that have remained an enigma to whisky connoisseurs worldwide and are renowned in only the most collectable old Bowmores.

Bowmore distillery produces medium-peat Scotch whisky on the Isle of Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides. The distillery, which lies on the South Eastern shore of Loch Indaal, is one of the oldest in Scotland and is said to have been established in 1779.

The distillery is owned by Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd, a holding company owned by Japanese drinks giant Beam Suntory.
